Elvira Classics Omnibus Vol. 2

Elvira loves to keep the party going! Last year marked her 40th anniversary as the Queen of Halloween! The undead world rejoiced with the release of the Elvira action figure. She also hosted her own Shudder TV show titled “Elvira’s 40th Anniversary Very Scary, Very Special Special”. But now Dynamite is bringing her classic comics to life in one huge omnibus.

Apparantly this is the second volume of classic Elvira comics to be collected by Dynamite Entertainment. Dynamite’s roster of comics include, Vampirella, Red Sonja, The Army of Darkness, Bettie Page and Xena just to name a few. They just fired up an Indigogo campaign to fund this second volume of Elvira comics. From the sample pages I’ve seen, I just might jump on this haunted hayride.

They say the best things in life come in pairs…we know you agree!  That’s why we have dug up these classic Elvira comic book stories for a brand new volume of murder, mayhem, and monkey business.  These wonderful gichy stories date as far back as the 1990s when Michael Jordan un-retired, Grunge was the music flavor on the radio, and a gallon of gas was $1.15.  Holy smokes, I want to go back just for the gas prices!  But since we can’t jump in a time machine or butterfly effect ourselves back to the 90s, the next best thing is right here!  Travel back in time with these bodacious comic book tales of Elvira’s wackiest adventures!

Dynamite Entertainment

The creators featured in the first volume are back for more, so expect some amazing artwork from the likes of:

Dave Cockrum, Jim Mooney, Neil Vokes, Tom Simonton, Louis LaChance, Frank Strom, Richard Howell, Lou Mougin, David Day, Dan Day, Bruce Patterson, Tom Simonton, James Fry, Anna-Maria Cool, John Heebink, Peter Sanderson, Yvonne Mojica, Tom Smith, Al Vey, AND SO MANY MORE!!!!

Elvira always existed in my periphery, but I nearly can’t resist the camp and the artwork in some of these stories.

The crowdfunding campaign is also giving you the chance to purchase the first volume if you happened to miss out on it. It’s a great opportunity to get two complete volumes and add them to your shelves. The second volume boasts over 600 pages of “murder, mayhem, and monkey business.” Anyway, enough of this hullaballoo. Click this link to go to Indigogo and get in on the action. With the goal of $6,666 this things already been funded! There’s tons of die hard fan goodies to choose from! Some examples are: signed copies, digital versions, photo covers of previous Elvira comics, a four-pack of Elvira metal variants, CGC graded exclusives, and more.
