Fanboys Marketplace is excited to announce that we will be able to move into our new permanent location sooner than expected! Earlier this year Fanboys signed a 10-year lease on a new building. It will serve as both headquarters and distribution center. The new permanent space is located at 1320 Town Square Drive in Ridgmar Town Square. The space spans 15,311 square feet and will serve as a retail showroom, corporate office, product warehouse and event space. To read more about that announcement see the press release here.
At that time we weren’t expected to make that move until early 2023. Well, Christmas comes early this year because we’ve been given the green light to move in early! The new move in date is now October 29th, 2022. That’s right, it’s the end of this month. To be clear, this move concerns only our Fort Worth Camp Bowie location. All of our sister Fanboys stores will be staying put.
We expect a smooth transition, but we’re still living in a weird post pandemic world. Meaning, we are having some supply chain issues when it comes to receiving supplies for upgrades the new location. But, we’re too excited to wait and so we’ll be setting up shop in a temporary space next door to our permanent location.
This isn’t new for us. Fanboys Marketplace was first located off of Hulen street, next door to Old Navy in what used to be a Charming Charlies. And when we were given the opportunity to move into our current location, we jumped at the chance! It was a new, larger space, and allowed us to stretch our legs. Here we’ve opened up several new locations, and experienced a lot of growth.
Not just in the number of our stores, but the number of our staff. In 2022 we hired Cesar Gamez as our Director of Marketing. We also brought on Brandon Hayman, our blogger, writer and the occasional marketing assistant (hey there). Fanboys also expanded our team to run our other Fanboys Stores. We created Fanboys Cares to give back to our community. And lastly, continue to commit to providing quality products by trademarking “Guranteed Authentic.” Which is our promise that everything in our stores is the real deal.
This latest move will take the company even further. We will have access to warehouse space which will serve as a distribution center for us and for our other stores. We’ll have dedicated space for in-store table top gaming. The 10-year lease agreement means we’ll be able to establish some roots here in Fort Worth, Texas. In the meantime, we plan on returning to some old established roots with in-store events such as bingo, movie, and trivia nights.
So, make a note of it! After October 29th, Fanboys Marketplace will no longer be at Camp Bowie. Our new temporary address will be 6912 Ridgmar Meadow Road, in Fort Worth, TX 76116. Soon after we’ll be moving right next door to our new permanent address of 1320 Town Square Drive in Ridgmar Town Square. During these moves we will stay open in order to serve our customers and community to the best of our ability. And all major in-store events, celebrity guest signings etc. will remain scheduled. Also, we are very excited to welcome the Power Rangers in Space into our new location come November 19th and 20th! Be sure to join us for the new location’s first big Comic-Con event!
