Rain Valdez, talented actress, writer, and producer, was born on August 2nd, 1991, in Manila, Philippines.

Valdez moved to LA to pursue her dreams of becoming an actress in the year 2000. Like most during this time, she waited tables and picked up some modeling gigs to support herself while she was in school studying acting. Since this time, Valdez has accumulated 40 credits in production, writing, and acting. She is also a steadfast advocate for the LGBTQIA community.

The amount of time, effort, and passion Valdez has poured into her crafts is innumerable! Now, let us jump right into her unique and outstanding career!

Valdez built her career from the bottom up; she started by becoming a producer’s assistant in 2006. Four years later, she appeared in her first short film Silly Games; she also wrote the story and script. Some other productions Valdez has participated in include,

Razor Tongue is a television series that explores common issues within young adults’ lives. It mainly delves deep into the importance of calling individuals out on their problematic behaviors. Valdez plays the role of Belle. Due to her outstanding performance in this role, she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy. She is also the producer and writer for the show.

Many of the productions Valdez has worked on as an actress she also wrote and produced! Some of these titles include Chocoholic, Hexed, and Lit Girl! 

Valdez is a steadfast activist for the LGBTQIA community. She herself is transgender and understands that members of the community need safe spaces. So, she found and hosts the acting class called ActNOW. This class prioritizes the comfort and safety of its LGBTQIA members.

Rain Valdez is a creative genius whose works touch on topics many refuse to discuss! Her most recent project is called Girl Code, a TV movie that is currently in post-production. We cannot wait to see her grace our screens when it premieres!
