Tania Tare, a professional golfer, was born on December 19th, 1988, in New Zealand.
The talented Tare has a gift for executing trick shots, giving her the title, “Trick Shot Artist”! She began gaining notoriety when she started to post videos showcasing her whacky skills on Instagram. Tare found her love for golf and performing trick shots at age twelve; she is now 31 and making an entire career out of it! With that in mind, we should jump right on into her life and career!
Tare was not always in love with the sport she now plays; originally, she loved to juggle! Although, that changed when she saw a Nike commercial featuring pro-golfer Tiger Woods, performing a trick shot of his own. In the commercial, Woods bounces a golf ball and hits it in mid-air; 12-year-old Tare was fascinated by this!
At age 14, she hit her first ball at the range; she became more focused on the sport and less on trick shots for the few years following. Tare says trick shots piqued her interest again when she watched a viral video of a guy performing an elaborate one of his own. She went straight to work after this, trying to execute the move herself. According to her, it took roughly 20 golf balls before she got it right.
Another source says the surgery she had done to her wrists after graduating from college is what lead to her posting videos to Instagram. Supposedly, the trick shots took less wrist power than traditional golf. No matter if it was the first or the second event, it lead her to post more and more videos to Instagram!

Despite her immense love for trick shots, Tare wants to be known as a professional golfer first, and a “trick shot artist” second. Although, in an interview for Golf Australia in March 2020, Tare expressed that an LPGA Tour may no longer be in the cards due to her persistent wrist issues.
