Alyson Hannigan, a beloved television and film actress, was born on March 24th, 1974, in Washington, D.C.
The funny and beloved actress began her career at the mere age of four by having roles in various commercials. By age 11, she moved to Hollywood, California to further pursue her acting career.
Despite having numerous film and television roles, she is most known for her parts in How I Met Your Mother, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the American Pie movie franchise. She even has one producer credit for the series Penn & Teller: Fool Us!

Hannigan portrayed the character of Willow Rosenberg, a witch from the town of Sunnydale and one of Buffy’s closest friends! Her character appeared on the show from the premiere episode on March 10th, 1997, until the finale on May 20th, 2003.
Although this was not the last time Hannigan would work with the franchise, she went on to voice her character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer: The Animated Series. In 2002 she again voiced her cult-classic character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the video game. Her role in the show made her a household name and pathed the way for the prosperous career she has.
In 1999 Hannigan starred in the first American Pie movie. She played the role of Michelle Flaherty, a band geek who is also a nymphomaniac with some unrepeatable kinks. Hannigan’s character says one of the most iconic lines in the entire franchise; it is a little too risque for this website, though! Hannigan portrayed the character in three other American Pie movies.
From 2005 to 2014, she starred in one of the most well-known sitcoms in television history, How I Met Your Mother! She played the role of Lily Aldrin, a once rebellious teen, now a former kindergarten teacher and aspiring artist.
