As if opening three new locations wasn’t enough for 2022, this holiday season we’ve got one last present to give to the Fort Worth area and it may not be what you think. Fanboys will be opening a restaurant! Welcome to Fanboys Grill.
Formerly Emmy’s Smokehouse, Fanboys LLC recently acquired the restaurant and are very excited to add it to our growing family. Emmy’s Smokehouse is an award winning restaurant known for their fried pickles. They also won Fort Worth Weekly’s Critics Choice Award for “Best Wings in Fort Worth” in 2022. While Fanboys plans to keep some original recipes, the new management will be changing the menu up over time. Alongside menu changes, Fanboys will be rebranding the restaurants’ indoor and outdoor appearance. The plan is to match Fanboys’ company wide branding of nerd and pop culture. Gone will be the wooden tables, and the photos of food have already came down from the wall. Although we’re still in the midst of taking over, we’re anxious to open our doors and see some familiar Fanboys faces somewhere else besides a comic con!
Can you sense our excitement? Although it’s a departure from Fanboys’ usual MO, Fanboys Grill will allow Fanboys to extend and grow our community in new and exciting ways. Did I hear someone put in an order for Falcon’s Wings? How about some Spidey Nachos. I mean, the possibilities are endless! The new restaurant is located at 2708 West 7th Street near Fort Worth’s bustling West 7th Street district. We’re neighbors with Abbey’s Pub on the Montgomery Plaza side of the street and share a parking lot with Velvet Taco. A definitive date hasn’t been decided for our Grand Opening but a soft open will be happening soon!
