Kara Edwards, most known for her work as a voice actress, was born in Lubbock, Texas, on February 17th, 1977.

Edwards’ career in broadcasting began with an internship at Radio Disney. In mid-1997, she would become a co-host on the Squeege and Kara Show. In her time at Radio Disney, she would also do voice-over work on commercials for major companies such as Blockbuster and Levi’s. Later in her tenure at Radio Disney, she would begin doing the English dubbing for several Japanese anime, including Dragon Ball Z; she voiced the child versions of both Goten and Videl. Her career as a voice actor would not become full-time until 2006. 

Now, what all of you are here for! The anime and the video game voice work of Kara Edwards! 

In 2006 Edwards would make an appearance at the Wizard World Comics Convention in Chicago, Illinois. While there, fans of her work in Dragon Ball Z would wait in a line for five hours to get her autograph, this was a defining moment for Edwards; shortly after, she left her position as a radio host to become a full-time voice actor.

Over the years Edwards has done work for many major English dubbed anime series, including, 

  • Black Butler (TV Series)
  • Soul Eater Not! (TV Series)
  • The Rolling Girls (TV Series)
  • Attack on Titan (TV Series)
  • My Hero Academia (TV Series)

Edwards’ reoccurring role in the Dragon Ball Z franchise is her most notable achievement. She has worked on over 30 Dragon Ball Z productions! Edwards’ second-most notable role is her voice acting for the anime My hero Academia. She voice’s the character of Bubble Girl; she also voiced several other characters in the series back in 2018.

Edwards has also done voice acting work for several video games, including but not limited to Battleborn, Borderlands 3, and The Gunstringer. She has even done voice work for some live-action productions like Barney & Friends. 

I think we can all agree, that there is no shortage of Kara Edwards’ talents and abilities, she continues to captivate audiences with her work. One of her most recent credits being her role in the video game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot!
