Chances are Funko has your New Favorite Game
This was going to be a review of a new E.T. board game that came out recently. But that’s only because I wasn’t aware of a little thing called Funko Games. Now, I realize that most times I’m the last one to the party and that’s okay with me. I own that. I’m also willing to bet that-depending on the party-some of you can be late getting there as well. So, let me just tell all of those people, Funko makes board and card games, not just Pops. Shocking, right?
Okay, to get a little more serious, everyone knows about Funko Pops. They’re highly collectible figurines with oversized bobble-like heads and minimal features. The collectible figures span hundreds of fandoms and you can literally find something for everyone. I myself don’t collect Funko Pops, and yet I have few around the house that have been gifted to me that I keep and appreciate. But Funko isn’t just in the business of making Pops. They make apparel, enamel pins and yes…games!
And not just random games, but games involving some of your classic and favorite movies. Of course there’s the new aforementioned E.T. The Extra Terrestrial Game as well as, Back to the Future, The Goonies, Fast and the Furious and even a Haunted Mansion game. Are any of these games fun to play? I have no idea. But it’s excited to discover what else Funko is up with all of the licensing contracts they’ve made. It’s no question that Funko is a formidable collectible giant, but now that I’ve discovered they make games and apparel and enamel pins!! There’s just no stopping them now. Find these mentioned here and more at Funko’s website. Perhaps your new favorite game is just a click or two away.
